Marathon Swims

For this new swimming competition, the client wanted to see two distinct design routes, one to reflect the serious face of the competition and the other showcasing the community and friendly feel of the brand.

 

I produced two design paths to choose from, one sleek and modern and the second more emotive with the focus on the people.  The first design used strong imagery of swimmers cut out and in black and white to contrast with the bright colours and use of red stripes to suggest the swimming lanes of the competition. The second route focused on the happy faces of the competitors and used a colour splash to emphasise the nature of the event.
